About the Counseling Department
We are a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals whose mission aligns with the Council Rock goal of instilling confidence and a love of school and learning while providing opportunities for children to explore and learn how they fit into a larger community. We also support the district’s mission to provide a meaningful, inclusive, equitable and challenging experience for each child where they are supported academically, socially, and emotionally. Brighton Mental Health Teams consists of professional school counselors, social workers, and psychologists. At Council Rock, we provide individual counseling, group counseling, facilitate social emotional learning (SEL) classroom lessons, and provide consultation with teachers, staff, parents, and outside providers.
