Twelve Corners Come Alive for Homecoming

Posted Date: 9/24/24 (1:56 PM)

The Brighton community gathered at the Twelve Corners on Saturday, Sept. 21 for the annual Homecoming Celebration.

Part of Elmwood Avenue was closed to traffic so community members could gather in the street. Food trucks and community businesses and organizations all set up on the grass in front of Twelve Corners Middle School.

The Homecoming Parade featured floats by Brighton High School’s classes. The seniors’ float theme was “Spider-Man,” the juniors’ was “Rio,” the sophomores’ was “Jaws,” and the freshmen’s was “Wonka.”

The parade also featured the Brighton Teachers’ Association, Board of Education, and various town and community organizations.

Thank you to the Brighton Police Department for handling traffic and making sure the event was safe for all, and to the Brighton Chamber of Commerce for helping to organize the celebration.
