The District received updated direction from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) regarding the BHS athletic fields construction site. NYSDEC and the New York State Department of Health have advised that any exposed fill is to be covered using plastic, clean soil, or gravel. The pile of topsoil will also be covered. We expect that the piles will be covered with plastic by the end of this week.

We will provide a more detailed project update as we receive more guidance and direction from our environmental consultant and regulatory agencies.
